Please note:

NICHD offices, e-mail services, and information resources centers and clearinghouses cannot provide personalized medical advice to individuals about conditions or treatments. Instead, these resources offer information to help people better understand their health and their diagnosed disorders. These groups also do not rate or provide referrals to specialists, physicians, or health care facilities.

The resources on this Web site should not be used as a substitute for professional medical care. The NICHD urges you to work with your health care provider(s) to obtain answers to your specific, personal health questions.
