S. 926—Federal Employee Student Loan Assistance Act

On April 28, 2003, Senator George Voinovich (R-OH) introduced S. 926, the Federal Employee Student Loan Assistance Act.  Provisions amend section 5379 of title 5, U.S. Code, to increase the annual and aggregate limits on student loan repayments by Federal agencies.  S. 926 was referred to the Committee on Governmental Affairs.

COMMITTEE/SUBCOMMITTEE ACTION

July 30, 2003 – The Senate passed S. 926 by Unanimous Consent.

October 28, 2003 – The House by S. 926 by voice vote.

PRESIDENTIAL ACTION

November 11, 2003 – The President signed into law S. 926 as P.L. 108-123.
