S. 250—Global Coordination of HIV/AIDS Response (CARE) Act

On January 30, 2003, Senator Richard J. Durbin (D-IL) introduced S. 250, the Global Coordination of HIV/AIDS Response (CARE) Act. This legislation would establish an interagency working group to coordinate Federal programs related to the prevention, treatment, and monitoring of HIV/AIDS in foreign countries and to conduct global HIV/AIDS activities. S. 250 was referred to the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions.
