S. 239—Trauma Care Systems Planning and Development Act of 2003

On July 1, 2003, S.239 was referred to the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Health. On June 23, the Senate passed S. 239 by unanimous consent. This legislation would require the Director of NIH to establish and implement an interagency program for trauma research. S. 239 was introduced by Senator Bill Frist (R-TN) on January 29 and was reported favorably without amendments by the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions on February 12.
