S. 1356—Departments of Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2004

On. June 26, Senator Arlen Specter (R-PA), Chairman Senate Appropriations Subcommittee of Labor, Health and Human Services introduced S. 1356, the Departments of Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2004. The Senate began debate on September 2. Senator Arlen Specter (R-PA), Chairman, Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor, HHS, and Education, introduced an amendment which had the effect of keeping the bill number of the House-passed bill but inserting the text of the Senate reported bill, S. 1356. All subsequent amendments then applied to the Senate reported text. (For information on the House legislation, refer to H.R. 2660.)
