S. 566Alzheimer's Disease Research
On March 6, 2003, Senator Barbara Mikulski (D-MD) introduced S. 566, a bill to amend the Public Health Service Act to provide for Alzheimer's disease research and demonstration grants. S. 566 was referred to the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions. Also on March 6, Representative Edward Markey (D-MA) introduced the companion measure, H.R. 1138, the Alzheimer's Disease Research, Prevention, and Care Act. H.R. 1138 was referred to the House Committee on Energy and Commerce.
