The NIH Office of Intramural Training & Education maintains three official electronic mailing lists designed to provide information about training events and career development activities to specific trainee populations: - OITE-POSTBACS is a listserv for all NIH trainees who are participating in a postbaccalaureate research program, including Postbaccalaureate IRTA/CRTAs, NIH Academy members, Technical IRTAs, and UGSP Payback Scholars.
- OITE-GRADS disseminates information for NIH trainees conducting their dissertation research at the NIH.
- OITE-POSTDOCS is the official OITE mechanism for communicating with NIH trainees who hold a doctoral degree, such as the PhD, MD, DVM or the equivalent. This includes postdoctoral IRTA/CRTAs, Visiting Fellows, Clinical Fellows, and Research Fellows.
IMPORTANT: If you are currently not receiving notices from one of these e-mail lists, please register. We will add you to the appropriate list.
In addition to the OITE e-mail lists, the Posbac IRTA Committee, Graduate Student Council, and Postdoctoral Fellows Committee (FelCom) have created e-mail lists to further enhance the training experience at NIH. Please take a moment to review the various options presented below to see if you would like to become a member.- Club-PCR is for young scientists at the NIH; to join send an e-mail to clubpcr-subscribe@yahoogroups.com. Information on happy hours, room rentals, concerts, and sporting events is shared here.
- POSTBACC_L shares information on volunteer opportunities and activities organized by the Postbac IRTA Committee. Sign up.
- The Graduate Student Council (GSC) maintains multiple e-mail lists designed to encourage graduate student interactions on- and off-campus. The lists are organized by partnership enrollment, e.g., there is a Brown e-mail list and one for JHU; lists by building on the NIH campus; and by GSC activity. Get more details.
- FELLOW-L disseminates postings of information on social opportunities, reagent and meeting roommate requests, and job postings. It is intended for postdoctoral fellows and graduate students. Sign up.
