If you made a New Year’s resolution to take off weight, include both physical activity and healthy eating in your plan.
Hi, I’m Dr. Griffin Rodgers, bringing you Healthy Moments from the NIH. I’m the Director of the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases.
This year instead of a diet, commit to more physical activity and a healthy eating plan to lose weight and keep it off.
Eat breakfast every day. You’ll be less likely to over-eat, and you’ll have more energy later.
Choose whole grains like brown rice, wheat breads and pasta, and avoid fried foods.
Choose fresh, canned, or frozen fruits instead of fruit juices, which are likely to have more calories.
And for more tips, visit our website at NIDDK or majic1023.com. This is Dr. Griffin Rodgers. Join me next week for more “Healthy Moments.”
