Biosketch:

Dr. Guo earned her M.D. in Medicine from the Beijing Capital Medical College and Ph.D. in Molecular Biology and Genetics from the University of Illinois at Chicago, where she focused her study on Type IV collagen using Caenorhabditis elegans as a model organism.  She finished her postdoctoral training at the Medical College, the University of Illinois, Chicago, where she pioneered the structure-functional studies of human cardiac thin filament protein, Troponin I using molecular biology, biochemical, and physiological methods.  After a one-year appointment as a Research Associate at the Medical College of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, Dr. Guo completed her Anatomic Pathology residency and Clinical Pharmacology Fellowship at the NIH Clinical Center.  Dr. Guo joined NIDDK’s Review Branch as a Scientific Review Administrator in February, 2005. She is a member of American Society of Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics.
