Biosketch:
Ms. Verne L. Griffin (Lynn) is a Purchasing Agent in the Station Support Branch in the Office of Acquisitions, Division of Extramural Activities. Ms. Griffin has been a Federal government employee since 1977. Ms. Griffin’s NIH career started at NIDDK in 1984 as a Secretary. She has also worked for other institutes such as the National Heart Lung and Blood Institute (NHLBI), National Cancer Institute (NCI) and the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH). At NCI, she made a career change from Secretary to Purchasing Agent. She is currently attending Strayer University. In 2005, Ms. Griffin joined the NIDDK Office of Acquisitions and is currently in the process of becoming a Contract Specialist.
