NIDA FY 2009 Funding Strategy

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is currently operating on a Continuing Resolution (CR). The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) has established the following funding policy until the final appropriation is enacted.

Non-competing Continuations (Type 5)

  • Non-competing continuations (modular and non-modular) will be funded at 90% of committed levels, including co-funds. This policy does not apply to Fs, Ts, Ks, SBIR/STTRs, and R13s.
  • NIDA will consider upward adjustments to this level after the final FY 2009 appropriation is enacted.
  • Information regarding the NIH policy can be found at this link http://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/notice-files/NOT-OD-09-002.html
