Receipt and Referral/eReferral @ NIH

The Receipt and Referral module is used by NIH's Center for Scientific Review (CSR) to log, route and assign competing grant applications for all of the Institutes and Centers (IC) and some federal agencies. Referral Officers in CSR's Division of Receipt and Referral assign each application for review either to CSR's Initial Review Group (IRG) or to an IC review group, and for funding consideration to one or more NIH ICs.

CSR uses the Receipt and Referral module to handle both paper and electronic grant applications, although the workflow for each is different. Presently, both the client-server version and the J2EE web version of the Receipt and Referral module are running in parallel.
