Grant Writing Workshop Cognitive Neuroscience Annual Meeting and Exhibit Table

Drs. Steven Grant, Clinical Neurobiology Branch, Div. Treatment Research & Development, and Marina Volkov, Office of Extramural Programs conducted the first Grant Writing Workshop ever held at a Cognitive Neuroscience Society Annual Meeting. The workshop focused on the upcoming Request for Applications PA-01-001 "Cognitive Approaches to Addiction". Dr. Grant discussed the rationale and goals of the RFA. Dr. Volkov then discussed the review criteria and procedures. The workshop attracted nearly 50 attendees, and generated a lively discussion. Attendees were encouraged to visit the NIDA exhibit booth at the conference for additional information. In addition to Drs. Grant and Volkov, the NIDA booth was staffed by Drs. David Shurtleff and Tony Simon.
