H.R. 3887—The National Center for Social Work Research Act of 2004

On March 3, 2004, Representative Ciro Rodriguez (D-TX) introduced H.R. 3887, a bill to amend Title III of the PHS Act to require the Secretary of HHS to establish a National Center for Social Work Research. The purposes of the Center would be to conduct, support, and disseminate targeted research on social work methods and outcomes related to problems of significant social concern. H.R. 3887, which has 21 cosponsors, was referred to the House Committee on Energy and Commerce.
