Produce Team Products

After the domain team or working group completes its analysis and finalizes its recommendations, it documents its recommendations in the form of a summary presentation, which the team will present to the ARB or other governing bodies as needed.

(PPT). Sample presentation used for presenting team findings to the IT Management Committee (ITMC) EA Subcommittee or the Architecture Review Board (ARB).

NIHRFC 0003 - Instructions to NIHRFC Authors - How to Write a Standard (PDF). This document is a guide for NIH IT and architecture standards writers. It defines those characteristics that make standards coherent, unambiguous, and easy to interpret.

NIHRFC 0009 - NIH Request for Comments Template (DOC). NIHRFC authors must use this template to submit an NIHRFC in any track. OCITA will not accept any other format.

NIHRFC Supplement (DOC). This document must be included with the proposed NIHRFC describing any applicable decision analysis and the status of unresolved conflicts.

NIH Enterprise Architecture Standards Style Guide (PDF). This document provides guidelines for writing documentation for use at the NIH, such as correct uses of acronyms and directions for how to properly document bricks and patterns.

Pattern Template (DOC). Content elements required for defining a pattern and its various components. Used for NIHRFC documents.

Visio Pattern Stencil and Template (ZIP). Contains two Visio files - a stencil and a template.  The template is used for creating pattern diagrams. The stencil contains NIH standard shapes and is used in conjunction with the template.
