H.R. 3438—Gynecologic Cancer Education and Awareness Act of 2003

On November 4, 2003, Representative Sander Levin (D-MI) introduced H.R. 3438, the Gynecologic Cancer Education and Awareness Act of 2003. The bill would direct NIH and CDC to conduct a national campaign to increase the awareness and knowledge of women regarding gynecologic cancers. In addition, NIH and CDC are required to carry out demonstration projects to test different outreach and education strategies. The bill was referred to the House Committee on Energy and Commerce.
