H.R. 1812—The Patient Navigator Chronic Disease Prevention Act of 2005

On April 25, 2005, Representative Robert Menendez (D-NJ) introduced H.R. 1812, the Patient Navigator Chronic Disease Prevention Act of 2005. The bill would require the Health Resources and Services Administration to award grants for patient navigator services. H.R. 1812 was referred to the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Health.

April 27, 2005 - The House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Health (Representative Nathan Deal [R-GA], Chair) approved H.R. 1812 by voice vote.

May 4, 2005 - The House Committee on Energy and Commerce (Representative Joe Barton [R-TX], Chairman) ordered to be reported H.R. 1812.

June 7, 2005 - The House Committee on Energy and Commerce reported (H. Rept. 109-104) H.R. 1812.

FLOOR ACTION

June 13, 2005 -  The House passed H.R. 1812 by voice vote.

June 22, 2005 - The Senate passed H.R. 1812 by unanimous consent.

PRESIDENTIAL ACTION

June 29, 2005 - The President signed H.R. 1812 into law as P.L. 109-018.
