H.R. 338—Defense of Privacy Act

On January 27, 2003, Representative Steve Chabot (R-OH) introduced H.R. 338, the Defense of Privacy Act. The bill would require that agencies, in promulgating rules, take into consideration the impact of such rules on the privacy of individuals. H.R. 338 was referred to the House Committee on the Judiciary.
