February 8, 2009 - February 13, 2009
Hotel Galvez, Galveston, TX, United States
Contact for additional information: Dr. Lillian Shum, NIDCR 301-594-0618

Description
The proposed conference will advance the field of salivary and exocrine gland research by communicating the most recent findings from within the field. The mix of investigators working in different, but related, exocrine gland models will encourage cross-fertilization of ideas, experimental systems and approaches to solving critical basic and clinical questions concerning salivary gland function and dysfunction. The conference will encourage new investigators to enter the field of salivary gland research. Under the GRC format, there will be ample opportunities for individuals new to the field to share ideas and initiate collaborations. The conference will encourage new collaborations between new and established salivary and exocrine gland investigators, and will identify linkages between basic, translational and clinical researchers.
