Quality improvement services
Lumetra is a non-profit organization that offers California physician offices serving Medicare beneficiaries a variety of quality improvement services. These include assistance to primary care practices at no cost to select, implement and use electronic health record systems and to incorporate best practices for diabetes care.

Healthcare Cost and Utilization Project (HCUP) Databases and Software Tools      

Information on diabetes hospital stays using HCUPnet can be found on-line through a query system based on HCUP data, that provides access to health statistics and information on hospital stays at the national, regional, State, and community level.

AHRQ Quality Indicators

AHRQ Prevention Quality Indicators (PQIs) have information on quality of care measures for diabetes based on administrative data.  The PQIs are part of a software tool distributed free by AHRQ.
