2007 Grantsmanship Workshop for Research on
Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

The Trans-NIH Working Group for Research on Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) conducted a one-day workshop on September 17, 2007 to provide researchers with an overview of the diverse funding opportunities available through the NIH, an understanding of the particular research or training needs they meet, and the opportunity to meet with and query program officers from the Offices, Institutes, and Centers represented on the Working Group. Review presentations and helpful resources presented at the Workshop.

CFS Specific Funding Opportunities

In its effort to address CFS through science, NIH supports and encourages ongoing investigator-initiated research through its Program Announcement, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome: Pathophysiology and Treatment (PA-05-034). This Program Announcement is kept current on a regular basis and is the preferred vehicle for funding research. Occasionally, special funding opportunities arise, such as the Request for Applications released in July 2005, Neuroimmune Mechanisms and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (RFA-OD-06-002), to solicit research grant applications that explore topics raised at its most recent scientific workshop. This was a one time solicitation and results of the review of applications submitted will be published on this site when available.
