Why do you offer some titles in the social sciences while some biomedical titles are not available?

The Mission of the NIH is to be the steward of medical and behavioral research for the Nation. The NIH Library develops its collection to support this mission.

The NIH Library has sought access to the most used biomedical titles. Having achieved that goal, we take suggestions from patrons and keep a watchlist of highly requested titles from all relevant subject areas in order to inform our purchases of other online titles.

Please also note that some of the titles that we subscribe to are part of a package, such as JSTOR. We have access to all of the titles in these packages. Although some of the titles in the packages may not be directly relevant to biomedicine, many of them are relevant to other research areas addressed by the NIH.
