The National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR) does not endorse or recommend any commercial products, processes, or services. The information on NIDCR's Web site may not be used for advertising or product endorsement purposes.

The NIDCR Web site provides links to other Internet sites for informational purposes. When users select a link to an external Web site, they are leaving the NIDCR Web site and are subject to the privacy and security policies of the owners/sponsors of the external site.

The National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR) links to—as appropriate—other Federal agencies, professional organizations and dental institutions, and patient advocacy groups with useful patient education information.

Web Accessibility Policy

We have endeavored to make the NIDCR web site accessible to all users.  The web site complies with Section 508 standards and is compatible with screen readers and other assistive technologies. However, this is an ongoing process and it is possible that some users may encounter problems accessing some pages.   For questions about NIDCR's continuing efforts to make its Web-based information accessible to all users, or to report an accessibility problem on any pages, please e-mail the NIDCR Webmaster.

Privacy Policy Statement

Of the information we learn about you from your visit to http://www.nidcr.nih.gov we store only the following: the domain name from which you access the Internet, the date and time you access our site, and the Internet address of the web site from which you direct-linked to our site. This information is used to measure the number of visitors to the various sections of our site and to help us make our site more useful to visitors. Unless it is specifically stated otherwise, no additional information will be collected about you.  

When inquiries are e-mailed to us, we store the question and the e-mail address information so that we can respond electronically. Unless otherwise required by statute, we do not identify publicly who sends questions or comments to our web site. We will not obtain information that will allow us to personally identify you when you visit our site, unless you choose to provide such information to us.

Thank you for visiting the NIDCR Web site. We hope you have done so with the help of a parent or teacher because that is one of the best ways to explore the Internet and make sure that the sites you visit are educational and fun.

We are very interested in what you have to say. If you write to us or ask us a question, we use your e-mail address from your message to respond to you. It is up to you whether or not you tell us who you are. But please make sure it is okay with a parent or guardian before you do—and any other time you provide information online. If you are not sure it is okay with them, you can always come back and visit the site later, when you have their permission.
