Occupation Specific Competency Models
NIH Occupation Specific Competency Models describe the global competencies applicable to all employees in a specific occupation; however they may not describe every competency relevant to a job. Employees should discuss this with their supervisors to determine the best approach for incorporating additional competencies into their overall career development plan.
The NIH has developed a Competency Model for ten Specific Occupations:
