Influence of Genetic Polymorphisms on Serum Levels of Sex Steroids in Pre-Menopausal Women

We are conducting two cross-sectional studies in population-based samples of pre-menopausal women to evaluate the influence of known genetic polymorphisms on endogenous levels of sex-steroids in serum. The specific objective of these studies is to evaluate whether serum levels of estradiol, estrone, androstenedione, testosterone and DHEA vary among women with different polymorphisms in the CYP11a, CYP19, CYP17, CYP1B1 and COMT genes. More information, Montserrat García-Closas.
