Request for Research Proposals
The Human Genetics and Genomics Working Group is seeking research proposals to follow up on validated regions of association from genome-wide association studies or from linkage analyses.
Proposals will be jointly funded by the Directors of the Center for Cancer Research (CCR) and the Division of Cancer Epidemiology and Genetics (DCEG). Up to $100,000 per year will be awarded for a maximum of 2 years per project. Because funding is quite limited, only those projects with the most innovative scientific ideas will be accepted. An essential component for these awards is that the proposal must be a collaborative effort that includes investigators from both CCR and DCEG. Proposals will be peer reviewed and ranked by members of the Working Group and the Steering Committee of the CEICBG. Comments will be returned to the investigators who submit proposals. The format of the proposal and the description of the review process can be viewed
here.
Proposals should be submitted to Geoff Tobias
(tobiasg@mail.nih.gov). Next call for proposals will be in January, 2009.
