The National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), Division of Intramural Research Programs, a major research component of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), is recruiting a Postdoctoral Fellow to join the Unit on Neural Circuits and Adaptive Behaviors, in the Genes, Cognition and Psychosis Program. This organization is housed at one of the premier research sites in the U.S., the 300 acre Bethesda campus of the NIH, near Washington, D.C. This Unit will conduct research on the molecular, cellular and systems-level mechanisms of brain adaptations in response to environmental experiences and social interactions. The techniques used include molecular and cellular biology, mouse genetics, in vivo two-photon imaging, electrophysiology and behavioral analysis. The applicant should have a Ph.D. or M.D. degree (or foreign equivalent) in these research areas in order to apply.
