To better protect your myPay PIN, DFAS has installed a VIRTUAL KEYBOARD for you to enter your myPay PIN. This keyboard reduces threats from malicious software (e.g. spyware, keyloggers, etc.). The virtual keyboard displays the keys in random order and requires you to click on the appropriate key with your mouse. To learn more about this feature, see our Security FAQs. |

| ALL CIVILIAN (INCLUDING NAF EMPLOYEES) PIN LETTER REQUESTS: Due to a system problem with the "NEW PIN" option, all Civilian (including NAF civilian employees) PIN Letter requests submitted during the period December 15, 2008 through January 7, 2009, using the "NEW PIN" option have NOT been processed. No PIN letters were mailed. Civilian and NAF civilian employees may use the PIN by Email option if they have a registered email address or the FAX process to obtain a temporary PIN. A notice will be posted when the PIN letter option is again available. We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused. |
On April 29, 2005, the Under Secretary of Defense Comptroller and the Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness signed the new Policy for Electronic Wage and Tax Statements and Leave and Earning Statements. Effective July 1, 2005, all military members and Department of Defense (DoD) non bargaining unit civilian employees with a customized PIN, who access myPay are consenting to receive only an electronic W-2 and Leave and Earning Statement (LES). Effective September 1, 2004, all current myPay military retired users who request or already have a myPay Personal Identification Number (PIN) and access myPay are consenting to receive only an electronic 1099R.
