H. Con. Res. 340—The Effective Treatment of and Access to Care for Individuals with Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis

On February 14, 2006, Representative Jim Gerlach (R-PA) introduced H. Con. Res. 340, expressing the sense of the Congress with respect to the effective treatment of and access to care for individuals with psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. The resolution states that the Directors of NIH and NIAMS continue to take a leadership role in identification of a cure and the development of safer, more effective treatments for psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. The measure also states that the Secretary of HHS should convene a panel on this issue and report to Congress by February 2007.
