Braiding

The skilled technicians in the UNICOR/FPI Electronics Group have in-depth knowledge of virtually all wire types, including single-conductor standard, multi-conductor stranded and multi-conductor shielded wire, as well as co-axial, fiber optic and radio-frequency cables, all in a multitude of gauges.

We are adept at custom braiding metallic, nylon and other textile materials in almost any twist configuration and length, incorporating RF, EMI and EMP shielding, insulation, jackets, connectors and terminations.

UNICOR/FPI has the unique capability to manufacture semi-rigid co-axial cables, which are used in radar, and radio-frequency and microwave communications.

Our braided wire and cable configurations have applications in diverse military, agency and commercial uses ranging from air, ground and sea combat equipment to radio kits, surveillance and wireless communications.

Romex

UNICOR/FPI produces two- and three-conductor Romex™ (non-metal sheathed cable with grounding and a soft, flexible jacket) for use in indoor wiring. Each conductor is color coded and stamped according to the National Electrical Code for standard wiring in military and commercial buildings. Our Romex has the latest insulation, sheathing and jacketing, and is available in different gauges and lengths.

Braid Wire

UNICOR/FPI has extensive experience in braiding multi-conductor stranded and multi-conductor shielded wire, co-axial, fiber optic and radio-frequency cables. Our braided wire is available in different lengths, gauges and combinations of shielding (RF, EMI, EMP), sheathing and jacketing.

Much of our braid wire is manufactured to order for specific military, agency and commercial applications. We also can equip braid wire with customized connectors and terminations to make installation faster and easier.

UNICOR/FPI technicians have the unique skills to manufacture semi-rigid co-axial cables, which require great precision and care to fit into bent tubing within equipment for radar, and radio-frequency and microwave communications.

Wire Roping

UNICOR/FPI produces wire rope for indoor and outdoor use, communication systems, power generation and distribution, aircraft, ships, vehicles and heavy equipment.

We specialize in rugged outdoor tactical cables that power field communication links, inter-shelter communications, and remote site and weapons control links. These cables are highly flexible, tight buffered, and water, sun and abrasion resistant. They are designed to provide continuous safe, reliable service even after repeated deployment and retrieval.
