H. R. 3433 —The Methamphetamine Treatment and Rehabilitation Best Practices Act of 2007

On August 3, 2007, Representative Steve Pearce (R-MN) introduced H.R. 3433, the Methamphetamine Treatment and Rehabilitation Best Practices Act of 2007. The bill would direct the Secretary of HHS, acting through the Director of the NIH, to conduct a survey of research available on methamphetamine addiction and treatment focused on the best treatment for methamphetamine addiction, rehabilitation, and recovery. The bill would require the Secretary to submit to Congress a report containing survey findings and recommendation for additional research avenues. H.R. 3433 was referred to the House Committee on Energy and Commerce.
