H.R. 1908—The Patent Reform Act of 2007

On April 18, 2007, Representative Howard Berman (D-CA) introduced H.R. 1098, the Patent Reform Act of 2007, the companion legislation to S. 1145 above. The measure would amend title 35, U.S. Code, to provide for patent reform. The bill, which has ten co-sponsors, was referred to the House Committee on the Judiciary.

COMMITTEE/SUBCOMMITTE ACTION

May 16, 2007 - The House Subcommittee on Courts, the Internet, and Intellectual Property held a markup on H.R. 1908.

July 19, 2007 - The House Committee on the Judiciary completed its mark up of H.R. 1908.

FLOOR ACTION

September 7, 2007 - The House passed H.R. 1908 by a vote of 220-175.
