S. 823—The Microbicide Development Act

On March 8, 2007, Senator Barack Obama (D-IL) introduced S. 823, the Microbicide Development Act. A bill to amend the Public Health Service Act with respect to facilitating the development of microbicides for preventing transmission of HIV/AIDS and other diseases, and for other purposes. S. 823 has seven original cosponsors and was referred to the Senate HELP Committee.
