S. 1932—A Bill to Amend the Small Business Act to Increase SBIR and STTR Program Expenditures

On August 1, 2007, Senator Evan Bayh (D-IN) introduced S. 1932, a bill to amend the Small Business Act to increase SBIR and STTR program expenditures. S. 1932 would double the SBIR funding set aside from the present levels of 2.5 percent to 5.0 percent by 2013, and double the STTR set aside from 0.3 percent to 0.6 percent by 2013. S. 1932 was referred to the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship.
