S. 1183—The Christopher and Dana Reeve Paralysis Act

On April 23, 2007, Senator Tom Harkin (D-IA) introduced S. 1183, the Christopher and Dana Reeve Paralysis Act, a bill to enhance and further research into paralysis and to improve rehabilitation and the quality of life for persons living with paralysis and other physical disabilities, and for other purposes. H.R. 446 and H.R. 1727 are related measures. S. 1183 was referred to the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions.

July 25, 2007 -  The Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) reported out S. 1183 by voice vote.

August 3, 2007 - The Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) reported S. 1183 (without written report) and placed on the Senate Legislative Calendar under General Orders.
