H. Res. 288—The Occurrence Of Prostate Cancer In African-American Men

On March 29, 2007, Representative Gregory Meeks (D-NY) introduced H. Res. 288, recognizing that the occurrence of prostate cancer in African-American men has reached epidemic proportions and urging Federal agencies to address that health crisis by designating additional funds for research, education, awareness outreach, and early detection. H. Res. 288 was referred to the House Committee on Energy and Commerce. The companion measure, S. Res. 335, was introduced by Senator John Kerry (D-MA), on September 27, 2007.
