H.R. 2231—The Breast Cancer and Environmental Research Act of 2005

On March 8, Representative Nita Lowey (D-NY) introduced H.R. 2231, the Breast Cancer and Environmental Research Act of 2005. The bill would amend the Public Health Service Act to authorize the Director, NIEHS, to make grants for the development and operation of not more than eight research centers for the conduct of multidisciplinary and multi-institutional research on environmental factors that may be related to the etiology of breast cancer. H.R. 2231 was referred to the House Committee on Energy and Commerce.
