H.R. 4599—The Taxpayers' Cancer Research Funding Act of 2005

On December 16, 2005, Representative Peter King (R-NY) introduced H.R. 4599, the Taxpayers’ Cancer Research Funding Act of 2005. The bill would authorize a checkoff on tax returns to donate money to a Breast and Prostate Cancer Research Trust Fund. Money from the fund would be used to support breast and prostate cancer research grants administered by NCI. The bill was jointly referred to the House Committees on Ways and Means, and Energy and Commerce.
