H.R. 3058—The FY 2006 Transportation, Treasury, House and Urban Development Appropriations

On June 21, 2005, the House Committee on Appropriations (Representative Jerry Lewis [R-CA], Chairman) reported the FY 2006 Transportation, Treasury, House and Urban Development Appropriations bill which includes government-wide provisions. An amendment sponsored by Representative Steny Hoyer (D-MD), calling for a 3.1 percent pay increase for civilian government employees, was adopted by voice vote.

COMMITTEE/SUBCOMMITTEE ACTION

June 30, 2005 - The House passed H.R. 3058 by a vote of 405 yeas to 18 nays.

July 21, 2005 - Thhe Senate Appropriations Committee (Senator Thad Cochran [R-MS], Chair) reported H.R. 3058 with an amendment in the nature of a substitute.

October 20, 2005 - The Senate passed H.R. 3058 by a vote of 93 to 1.

November 18, 2005 - The House passed H.R. 3058 by a vote of 392 – 31

PRESIDENTIAL ACTION

November 30, 2005 – The president signed H.R. 3058 into law as P.L. 109-115.
