H.R. 2945—The Prostate Cancer Research and Prevention Act

On June 16, 2005, Representative Frank Lobiondo (R-NJ) introduced H.R. 2945, the Prostate Cancer Research and Prevention Act. The bill would renew NCI’s prostate cancer research authorization of appropriations section for such sums as necessary through FY 2010. The current authority, extended by the Public Health Improvement Act of 2000 (P.L. 106-505), expired at the end of FY 2004. The bill was referred to the House Committee on Energy and Commerce.
