H.R. 2124—The Clinical Research Act of 2005

On May 5, 2005, Representative Dave Weldon (R-FL) introduced H.R. 2124, the Clinical Research Act of 2005. The bill would authorize NIH to establish grant programs for Academic Health Centers (AHCs) in the area of clinical research career development, clinical research infrastructure grants, and a demonstration program for research partnerships between AHCs and the practicing health care community. H.R. 2124 was referred to the House Committee on Energy and Commerce.
