H.R. 1357—The Human Cloning Prohibition Act of 2005

On March 17, 2005, Representative Dave Weldon (R-FL) introduced H.R. 1357, the Human Cloning Prohibition Act of 2005. The bill would prohibit both reproductive cloning and the use of cloning technology to derive stem cells. The House bill is similar to S.658. H.R. 1357 has 103 cosponsors and was referred to the House Judiciary Committee.
