Description: The NCI Center to Reduce Cancer Health Disparities is pleased to announce the second in a series of lectures exploring issues that relate to health disparities and the unequal burden of disease in American society. This lecture will feature J. Wayne Flynt, Ph.D., Distinguished University Professor at Auburn University, Alabama. Dr. Flynt is the author of ten books, including "Dixie's Forgotten People: The South's Poor Whites" and "Poor But Proud: Alabama's Poor Whites." His talk will provide insight into the impoverishment of whites in America and the resulting implications for their medical care.
