H.R. 5276—The Disabled Federal Employees Protection Act

On October 7, 2004, Representative Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) introduced H.R. 5276, the Disabled Federal Employees Protection Act. The text of the bill is not available; however, Representative Van Hollen’s introductory remarks in the Congressional Record state that the purpose of the bill is to protect the jobs of Federal employees hired under a program designed for individuals with significant physical or developmental disabilities from losing their jobs as the result of losing an A-76 competition. The bill was referred to the House Committee on Government Reform.
