H.R. 2613—Public Access to Science Act

On June 26, 2003, Representative Martin Olav Sabo (R-MN) introduced H.R. 2613, the Public Access to Science Act. The legislation would exclude scientific research substantially funded by the Federal Government from copyright protection. The bill was referred to the House Committee on the Judiciary.
