eRA Achievements
eRA brings more than 35 years of experience of implementing complex business processes related to grants administration. The eRA system comprises an end-to-end electronic grants management flow, from the receipt and review process, through award and post-award management to eventual closeout. eRA’s ability to provide critical systems that manage and deliver grants is a core element of the partnerships that eRA has developed with private institutions, state governments, academic institutions and individuals. Since 2005, eRA has successfully aligned its systems with that of Grants.gov, enabling the flow of electronic applications from the applicant to Grants.gov to NIH or federal agencies using eRA.
Some of eRA’s accomplishments to date are enumerated below:
eRA
- Processed over 30,000 unique electronic grant applications for at least four Federal organizations in the first six months of 2007.
- Dramatically increased application processing speed, from 50 applications an hour in December 2005 to over 225 per hour in July 2007.
- Fully integrated other Federal components like the Agency For Healthcare Research & Quality (AHRQ), Centers for Disease Control (CDC), etc.
