S. 757—The Breast Cancer and Environmental Research Act of 2005

On April 11, 2005, Senator Lincoln Chafee (R-RI) introduced S. 757, the Breast Cancer and Environmental Research Act of 2005. The legislation would establish eight Centers of Excellence to study the potential environmental factors related to the development of breast cancer. The authorization level for these grants would be $30 million over 5 years. The bill was referred to the Senate HELP Committee. The text of S. 757 is not yet available.

June 28, 2005 - The Senate HELP Committee (Michael Enzi [R-WY], Chairman) marked up and reported favorably S. 757.
