S. 602—Ronald Reagan Alzheimer's Breakthrough Act of 2005

On March 10, 2005, Senator Barbara Mikulski (D-MD) introduced S. 602, the Ronald Reagan Alzheimer's Breakthrough Act of 2005. In addition to the provisions listed above for its companion measure, H.R. 1262, the bill would provide a tax credit of up to $3,000 to help pay for caregiving costs like prescription drugs, home health care, and specialized day care. S. 602 has 34 cosponsors and was referred to the Senate Committee on Finance.
