S. 306The Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act of 2005
On February 7, 2005, Senator Olympia Snowe (R-ME) introduced S. 306, the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act of 2005. Provisions would prohibit discrimination on the basis of genetic information with respect to health insurance and employment. S. 306, which has fourteen cosponsors, was referred to the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions.
