General Information

Am I eligible for admission into the individual partnerships?  Students for admission into the individual partnership must be currently enrolled in a PhD training program.  There is no citizenship requirement.  The NIH Investigator who agrees to host you will determine admission.

Submitting a Registration for Admission Consideration

When should I submit my GPP registration?  Students creating an Individual Partnership should submit a registration form when he/she receives permission from the PhD program chairperson and an NIH investigator for dissertation research has extended an offer of admission.  There is no registration deadline.

Does the GPP have a registration fee?  There is no registration fee for the GPP.

If I made a mistake or left something out of my registration after it has been submitted, can I make changes or do I have to resubmit the registration?  Do not submit a new registration.  Instead, use your login/password combination to revisit your registration and make any necessary adjustments.

Standardized Examinations

Can I submit my registration without knowing my Examination Scores?  Yes, if you plan on taking a standardized examination please add the date of your examination, actual or estimated, so the NIH investigator considering you for admission into his/her laboratory knows your intention to provide this information, results pending.  Once your scores are known, revisit your registration by using your login/password.

What standardized examination scores are required for admission? If you do not have these scores it is not necessary to take these examinations unless the NIH investigator for dissertation research requests such scores.  If you do have scores for either GRE, MCAT, or TOEFL test, include this data in your registration so we can generate statistical reports on large populations.

NIH-University Admission Committees

Who are the members of the admission committee?  The NIH Investigator that agrees to host you in his/her laboratory for dissertation research determines your admission to the GPP
